Job Title: Senior BMS Project Engineer

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for technology and problem-solving? Do you excel in challenging construction environments? We're seeking a highly experienced Senior BMS Project Engineer to join our Digital Building Business in Brisbane.

About the Role:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering delivery of major construction projects. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including mechanical contractors, builders, consultants, and customer site employees. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful delivery of engineering outputs for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BMS control system design, implementation, and documentation
  • Definition of scope, drafting, and presentation of functional descriptions
  • Assessment of customer sites for installation requirements and installation design
  • Preparation of submittals in accordance with Schneider engineering standards
  • Review of submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead engineering teams to obtain submittal approval
  • Comprehensive understanding of building automation system principles and design
  • Planning and scheduling of project execution, including attendance at builder's design meetings
  • Providing technical direction to project team members
  • Ensuring all engineering/technical issues or risks are recorded and communicated to the Project Manager/Project Director
  • Ensuring commissioning, testing, and final tuning of projects are completed on time with record documentation
  • Representing the company in a professional manner while ensuring all statutory and safety standards are met
Requirements:
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Previous experience with the commercial construction industry BMS discipline
  • Previous experience working with highly complex control solutions
  • Knowledge of networking, database technology, and trends in BMS/HVAC (advantageous)
  • Electrical License (preferred but not essential)
