Rehabilitation Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at Mackay Base Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation care, managing a varied case mix, and supervising and leading a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient-centred care to individuals with complex neurological conditions.
• Manage and supervise a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors and medical students.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account the individual needs and goals of each patient.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and professional development programs.

Requirements:

• Eligible for Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) or equivalent overseas training from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealand.
