Capital Works and Services Category Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead our capital works and services sub-categories of spend. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering category management, conducting sourcing and extension processes, achieving commercial outcomes, and advising stakeholders on market approaches and procurement matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category management strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to inform procurement decisions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and report on category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Procurement, Law, Commercial, or a related field.
- Proven experience in category management, preferably in a construction and/or engineering environment.
- Strong negotiation, Supplier Management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
