Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager or Assistant Manager to join our Perth Business Advisory and Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely audit services to our clients and assisting the BA&A team.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and Execution
- Plan and execute audit and other assurance engagements for a diverse client base, including listed entities and large proprietary companies.
- Risk Management
- Identify and manage risks on assurance engagements to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Engagement Management
- Manage a portfolio of engagements to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
- Client Relationships
- Build and maintain new and existing client relationships, acting as a central contact point for assigned engagements.
- Value-Added Services
- Provide clients with value-added services as part of the engagement, such as advisory and workpaper preparation.
- Professional Development
- Prepare and present Professional Development training sessions for key issues within the accounting industry.
- Financial Statement Preparation
- Prepare and review General and Special Purpose Financial Statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Supervision and Mentoring
- Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate personnel to ensure high-quality results and professional development.
Requirements
- Qualifications
- CA / CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience
- 4+ years of Audit experience, ideally from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Exemplary technical audit knowledge with exposure to tax and advisory services.
- Broad commercial expertise and judgment, analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to deal with senior members of client staff.
- Intimate understanding of clients and our business, with the ability to suggest ways to improve the clients or our own business or procedures.
- Able to write technical letters and reports.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
