We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Leader.

This is a seasonal position that will focus on creating a positive and inclusive camp environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement engaging camp activities that promote learning, socialization, and fun.
  2. Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers, ensuring a seamless camp experience.
  3. Work closely with the Community Recreation Programmer and Summer Camp Supervisor to plan and deliver daily activities, themes, and trips.
  4. Assist with promotions and events, helping to promote the summer camp program to the community.

Educational Requirements

  1. A valid Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED certification is mandatory.
  2. BCRPA High Five Certification is also required.
  3. Previous experience in day camps or recreation programs is desirable.
  4. Preference may be given to current post-secondary students.

Skill Requirements

  1. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.
  2. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse community setting is vital.
  3. A positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children are must-haves.
