Content Creator Role

The role of a content creator is vital in our online team. As a key player, you will support the digital editor and guide the daily content direction across the site. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about breaking news, has excellent writing skills, and thrives under pressure.

To thrive in this role, you must have outstanding writing and communication skills, sound news judgment, and attention to detail combined with a strong sense of urgency, multitasking ability, and a thorough grasp of online content distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, write, and publish original stories for the website.
  • Utilize social media for both story discovery and promotion.
  • Produce engaging video content for digital platforms.
  • Apply news judgment and use analytical tools to maximize story visibility.
  • Write and edit content, including headlines, captions, and embedded media.
  • Support the Group Digital Editor in guiding the daily content direction.
  • Maintain awareness of legal and ethical issues in reporting.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously in all interactions.
  • Continuously upskill and stay updated with technology and digital trends.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Conduct professional and thorough interviews.

  • Good interview and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously under high pressure.
  • Flexibility in a seven-day newsroom, including weekend shifts, and the ability to work later in the day.
