We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Technician to join our manufacturing team in Seven Hills, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with cutting-edge Physical Vapor Deposition technology in a stable environment.

  • Position: Maintenance Engineer
  • Location: Seven Hills
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM (with option to move to afternoon shift)
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor PVD coating equipment to meet production specifications.
  • Perform routine machine setup, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain detailed production records.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and clean room procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production runs and equipment performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work early morning hours (5:00 AM start time).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment interface.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating PVD machines or similar coating equipment.
  • Background with vacuum systems, sputtering, or thermal evaporation processes is a bonus.
  • Experience with semiconductor, optical, or precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with clean room environments and protocols.
