About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate instrumental music tutor to facilitate high-quality lessons to students.

The successful applicant will have a strong passion for music education and commitment to delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Key responsibilities will include facilitating instrumental music lessons, assisting with timetables, monitoring student attendance, and communicating with parents and directors.

  • Deliver high-quality instrumental music lessons to students.
  • Assist with timetables for music lessons and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Monitor student attendance and notify parents of any irregularities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and directors regarding student progress.
  • Report on instrumental music students each semester.
  • Ensure accurate records and rolls for accounts purposes.
  • Collaborate with ensemble directors to ensure clear communication channels.
  • Assist with the ensemble program, including directing, conducting, camps, and other activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will have relevant experience in instrumental music education, excellent time management skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and high proficiency in computer skills.

They must be able to perform the physical requirements of the role safely and hold a current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 or relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers registration.

In addition, they must demonstrate a strong understanding of child protection and safety principles.
