We are seeking a highly skilled broadcast producer to join our news team in New South Wales. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality video news packages and breaking news coverage. You will work closely with journalists to craft engaging stories and oversee graphics and video editing for all ABC platforms. Additionally, you will line up and put to air the flagship 7PM news bulletin as required, liaising with the supervising producer, presenters, and the production team to deliver accurate and high-quality programs.

About Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need advanced knowledge of television news production, including bulletin line-up and on-air production needs. You must also possess sound editorial and legal judgement, coupled with an understanding of ABC editorial standards. Experience sub-editing commissioning video stories for major broadcast and/or digital news outlets is essential. Furthermore, you should have proven and effective teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills to operate effectively in a busy newsroom environment.
