About the Role

The Director/Teacher/Nominated Supervisor is a senior and respected position, with the overarching responsibility of the leadership and management of the kindergarten. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and kindergarten programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLFv2) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading a team of teachers and educators, and the ability and desire to work alongside them to support the needs of the children and families in the Kindergarten's care. They will be an incredible communicator with a natural ability and inclination to develop and foster genuine connections with children, parents and guardians, community networks, schools and allied health professionals.

The Director/Teacher/Nominated Supervisor will work closely with the Administration Manager Assistant and the volunteer committee elected annually from the parent body. They will be responsible for marketing the center to attract future enrolments and will work closely with the outgoing Director/Teacher to ensure a smooth transition.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about early years education, community kindergarten and creating an inclusive experience for all children and their families. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent, Queensland College of Teacher Registration or be eligible for Teacher Registration in Queensland, and at least three years' experience as a Director preferably at a Community Kindergarten.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience as a Director and Teacher, and be well-versed in their understanding and application of the NQF, NQS, EYLF V2.0 and the QKLG in their planning for and documentation and assessment of children's learning and development.

They will be committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practices, and will have an understanding of and the ability to follow budgets.
