Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Officer (Avionics) to join our team in Enoggera, Brisbane. As a key member of our AH-64 Apache support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the maintenance, repair, and preventive measures of electrical/avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical supervision and support for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure continued safe and economic operations of electrical/avionics systems.
  • Communicate and resolve design and operational issues with engineers.
  • Apply avionics technical knowledge to research, develop, test, and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs, and technical data.
  • Assist software, armament, and avionics engineering personnel with fault finding, troubleshooting, and solution development.
  • Develop in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and release electrical/avionics drawings, systems designs, or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry, and governmental standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Aerospace Engineering degree, 5 years+ relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Prior defence service/defence aerospace experience is desirable.
  • Meet Defence security and ITAR requirements.
  • Completion of DASR 21, Part M, Type cert courses is beneficial.
