Job Description

The Salvation Army is seeking a Strategic Planning Partner to join their Strategy and Enterprise Projects team. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the organization's transformation, fostering collaboration with senior leaders, and guiding teams to develop and implement strategic plans.

This exciting opportunity involves leading the ideation stage of the project lifecycle, engaging with key stakeholders, and formalizing ideas through creative problem-solving and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Champion and support the strategic planning practices and development of the three-year strategy across the organisation
  2. Develop and monitor strategic priorities to ensure consistent alignment with the organisation's strategy
  3. Support the organisational Strategy Review Framework, ensuring the strategy is refreshed in line with market and industry intelligence
  4. Partner with Departments and Divisions to ensure alignment of local plans with the organisation's strategy
  5. In conjunction with the Strategic Portfolio, establish measurement criteria and monitor performance against the strategic plan and the market
  6. Facilitate the quarterly strategic planning cycle by engaging with teams for updates on the execution of their strategic plan
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Project Management, Finance etc.
  • TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture Methodology) certification is desirable
  • Proven experience in Strategic Planning role with demonstrated success in partnering/engaging with stakeholders in developing strategic plans, reporting strategic plan progress and executing strategy
  • Proven experience in facilitating strategic initiative planning and scoping workshops
  • Proven experience in developing business models (capabilities, services, value streams, information)
