Colorist Specialist

At IIQAF, we're seeking a skilled Colorist Specialist to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our structures and buildings. This role requires expertise in selecting the right materials and applying them using various tools.

A successful Colorist Specialist is knowledgeable about commercial and construction painting techniques, including surface preparation and finish application. They must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have excellent manual dexterity to work at heights.

• We are looking for an experienced professional who can read blueprints and instructions to determine the scope of work required.
• The ideal candidate will prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint, ensuring a smooth finish.
• They will mix and apply paints and materials according to specifications, using a range of tools to achieve the desired effect.
• A key responsibility will be to calculate costs and negotiate prices with clients or suppliers.
• The successful candidate will adhere to all health and safety protocols when working at heights or with hazardous materials.

• Prior experience as a painter or colorist is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and techniques is required, including color selection and finish application.
• Solid understanding of commercial and construction painting practices is necessary.
• Aptitude in using various tools, such as brushes and caulking guns, is essential.
• Good basic math skills are required for cost estimation and negotiation.
• Manual dexterity and balance are crucial for working at heights or with scaffolding.
• Conscientiousness and attention to detail are vital for delivering high-quality results.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an apprenticeship, is preferred.
