Job Title: Public Servant in Defence Administration

An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration and Customer Service Specialist to join the Department of Defence.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage base operations, engage with stakeholders, and provide administrative support.
  • Work closely with industry partners to deliver projects and estate outcomes.
  • Ensure base security, WHS, and emergency management procedures comply with relevant standards.
  • Participate in forums providing input into operational support of base activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven people leadership or team management experience in an operational environment.
  • Highly developed communication, organisation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience in providing detailed professional and policy advice about complex work.

Working Environment:

As an Administration and Customer Service Specialist, you will be working within a team-of-teams supporting National Defence Security for the Nation. You will have the opportunity to work in a customer service environment, frequent travel by vehicle, and may be required to stand for long periods, lift 0-15kg, or walk long distances.
