Senior Facilities Operations Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Facilities Operations Manager to join our team in VIC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of internal technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of facilities support across the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in managing multiple trades and maintaining fitness equipment. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable working autonomously.
In this role, you will work closely with key internal stakeholders, landlords, and external contractors to deliver day-to-day maintenance outcomes across the region. You will be responsible for providing reactive maintenance services, assisting in the development of internal systems and procedures, and proactively meeting with State Operation Managers and key stakeholders to communicate operations and focus areas.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of internal technicians to provide facilities support across the region
- Provide reactive maintenance services through Facilities Technicians and external contractors
- Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of internal systems and procedures
- Proactively meet with State Operation Managers and key stakeholders to communicate operations and focus areas
- Work with project, property, and leasing functions on changes to the portfolio
- Manage risk assessments and deal with any identified risks
- 5+ years of experience in team management
- Experience maintaining fitness equipment
- Strong technical background and knowledge of building and/or maintenance experience
- Computer skills and experience using maintenance management systems and MS office suite
- Understanding of building codes and local regulations
- Experience managing multiple trades
- Strong experience and knowledge of Safety systems, hazard identification, and OH&S processes
