Job Title: Learning Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Professional in a small school setting.

  • This is an ongoing, part-time position that requires a committed and caring professional to provide support to teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with planning and implementing student routines to ensure seamless learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and teachers to address any concerns or issues related to student well-being.
  • Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, including toileting, meals, and lifting.
  • Communicate complex information to students in a clear and concise manner to enhance their comprehension of basic tasks.
  • Manage immediate behavioural presentations in the classroom, aligning with established school policies and procedures.
  • Offer supervision and support to individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers to coordinate educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.
Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to work consistently within established guidelines and frameworks.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills in a team setting.
  • Possession of relevant technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Able to provide advice and support to management and other school staff.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth for self and others.
