About the Role

As a Data Center Critical Facilities Controls Specialist at Equinix, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure as part of a close-knit team delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and performing facilities engineering work, including programming, alarm response, fault finding, maintenance, repairs, and modification of equipment relating to controls, electrical, mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Programming and configuration commissioning of BMS control systems across various sites.
  • Debugging and programming of DDC, PLC, and DCS systems.

Requirements

  • Rounded and extensive experience monitoring, operating, and programming controls systems.
  • Ability to understand and implement controls strategies and architecture.
  • Great demeanor, positive outlook, and ability to work in a collaborative team.
  • May have led a small team or worked with multiple vendors.
  • Excels at problem solving and thinking on their feet.
  • 3+ years experience post trade or degree with relevant experience.
  • Mechatronics/Controls related trade cert or University certifications.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills/ Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
