The Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong is a well-established small animal emergency hospital, providing emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region. We pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during busy periods
  • Collaborating with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments
  • Monitoring patients closely, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures as needed
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
  • Offering support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience with complex emergency cases
  • Ability to provide high-quality patient care even in busy conditions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly, team-player attitude
  • Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
  • A passion for continuous education and upskilling
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
