The role involves working closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and general practitioners to provide comprehensive care for patients with a range of conditions, including prenatal and postnatal care, pelvic floor dysfunction, and musculoskeletal issues specific to women.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for women seeking physiotherapy services.
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education, to address women's health concerns.
  • Specialize in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will also have strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience or a strong interest in women's health physiotherapy
