Job Summary
MBC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Front End Loader Operator / Yardperson for our client, a hardwood sawmill located in the Coffs Harbour area.
Main Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Volvo L90 Loader with a log grab to unload logs off log trucks as they arrive at the yard.
- Lay logs out and measure to establish maximum recovery.
- Feed logs into mill to ensure continuous production.
- Transport logs from log yard to mill log deck.
- Operate a chainsaw to log logs off.
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance checks.
Requirements
- Experience operating a Front End Loader.
- Current Drivers Licence and own transport.
- Chainsaw experience and ticket preferred.
- Ideally familiar with Australian hardwood timber species.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well alone or as part of a team.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $32.25 + Super.
