Senior Software Engineer Position

As a senior software engineer, you will be part of our high-performing Digital Experience team in Technology & Operations. This is an opportunity to create functional and engaging web applications and microservices that enhance our Digital Insurance offerings.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and supporting scalable, customer-focused solutions. You will contribute to the Agile development lifecycle and apply DevOps and Continuous Integration practices. Your goal will be to ensure all solutions meet quality standards, align with our technical environment, and deliver exceptional user experiences that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the evolution of our current digital ecosystem into a scalable, future-ready Experience Platform.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements to architect solutions that conform to engineering guardrails, platform standards, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet non-functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability, with a strong emphasis on automation and pipeline integration.
  • Apply a proactive, outside-the-box mindset to solve complex challenges, reduce delivery waste, and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering squads, product owners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership of outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years' software engineering experience across multiple programming languages.
  • 3+ years' experience leading, mentoring, and advising engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting high-availability production systems.
  • Desirable skills include Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms, API integration, component customisation, and Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) implementation.
