Job Summary:

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced tax professional to develop and implement global withholding tax strategies and processes across superannuation and investment funds.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of Australian income tax law, international tax principles, and global withholding tax rules and reclaim processes.

They will be confident in interpreting complex financial data and tax legislation, leveraging data analytics and modern tax technology tools to generate deeper insights and improve reporting quality.

  • Develop and implement global withholding tax strategies and processes.
  • Lead the end-to-end withholding tax reclaim and relief-at-source processes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Drive enhancements in tax processes, identify automation opportunities, and strengthen internal controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline, along with professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant, Certified Practising Accountant, or Chartered Tax Adviser.

They will also have minimum 5 years' experience in tax, including operational tax and global withholding tax reclaims, with excellent technical knowledge of Australian income tax law, international tax principles, and global withholding tax rules and reclaim processes.
