Role Overview


The Forklift Operations Manager is responsible for leading and guiding the Workshop Team in ensuring the maintenance and repair of all equipment is performed efficiently and effectively.


As the Workshop Team Lead, you will work closely with internal divisions to achieve business objectives and drive the productivity and profitability of the workshop.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maximize the productivity and effectiveness of the Workshop Team through coaching, motivation, and high-quality work.
  • Monitor and communicate progress of workshop work to relevant personnel, ensuring hours are tracked and quoted targets are met.
  • Develop employee engagement throughout the team, promoting high-quality, two-way communication with all team members and management.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the workshop, adhering to OH&S practices and standards.

Requirements



  • Proven experience in leading teams, with a focus on coaching and motivating individuals to achieve desired results.
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S practices and standards, with a commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and meet key performance indicators.
  • Forklift industry knowledge and experience, including troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.
  • Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • A current High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift) is highly desirable.
