Graduate Teacher Position

We are seeking a qualified and passionate graduate teacher to join our educational team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their teaching skills and contribute to the growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach a range of subjects and year levels, adapting instruction to cater to different learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and programs that promote student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Capacity to respond to student learning needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Must have completed their course requirements and graduated in the last 4 years.
  • Not currently employed as a teacher by the department.
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
