Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist

About this role:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team on an initial 12-month contract, with potential to transition to permanent thereafter.
This position involves designing, developing, and commissioning electrical systems for major mining and resources projects. The job is predominantly focused on controls engineering, with a strong hands-on element and scope to lead and mentor others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality engineering design and commissioning across electrical systems
- Prepare technical specifications, test plans, documentation, and user manuals
- Develop PLC software and configure supporting systems
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing, site commissioning, and provide ongoing technical support
- Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle and support proposals/estimations
- Supervise and mentor engineers while supporting project managers
About the Position:

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical or related field
- 5+ years' relevant experience in industrial projects
- Strong background in PLC programming (Rockwell ControlLogix preferred)
- Experience in electrical design across plant installations and expansions
- CPEng accreditation or working towards it highly regarded
