About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as an Electoral Support Officer. In this role, you will provide frontline client services to members of the public, including answering enquiries on, and assisting with, electoral enrolment.

You will undertake work that is of low to moderate complexity and, during an election, may be required to supervise a small team and provide training to aid in the delivery of planned activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members of the public, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Undertake administrative tasks with minimal supervision and contribute to the planning and project management of key election activities.
  • Process special categories of enrolment and lead the delivery of several projects, ensuring seamless communication flows to stakeholders.

Eligibility

  • Australian citizenship is mandatory for AEC employees.
  • Candidates must not engage in political activities that compromise the neutrality of the organization.
  • Applicants must consent to undergo security clearance checks.
  • Security clearance is required for this role.
