Operational Readiness Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill this Operational Readiness Manager role.

  • This is a site-based position and we offer flexible working arrangements.
  • The main responsibility of this role is to provide strategic, operational leadership and management to meet the short-, medium- and long-term goals, objectives, and targets for the operationalization of a tenement taking the project from Feasibility Study to Mining Operations.

This includes reviewing proposed mining methods, equipment purchases, usage, and allocation, and assessing costs of capital and operations. The successful candidate will also strengthen and foster a dynamic environment to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the project delivery by collaborating with internal resources and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To review and assess costs of capital and operations, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  2. To oversee cost effectiveness of contractors and business partners, actively seeking financial improvements and resource allocation.
  3. To achieve the long-term sustainability of the operations, identifying and investigating growth opportunities that complement and add value to the operations.
  4. To facilitate negotiations with corporate contracts team.

An ideal candidate for this role would have extensive proven senior leadership experience in open-pit mining, strong project management skills, and a recognized tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
