This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to foster partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role:
The GP Workforce and Liaison Director will lead the growth, supervision, and management of the GP/Rural Generalist workforce across LCLHN sites. Key responsibilities include reporting directly to the Executive Director Medical Services (LCLHN), working closely with the Director Medical Services, and ensuring delivery of all Medical Administration services related to the GP/Rural Generalist Medical Workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth, supervision, and management of the GP/Rural Generalist workforce.
- Foster strong lasting partnerships and further build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with staff, medical officers, and executives to support the provision of safe, high-quality service planning, community engagement, and development of new service models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent, with specialist registration as a General Practitioner or Rural Generalist with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in clinical leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to act with integrity on sensitive organisational matters.
