Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a Mercedes Actros truck making deliveries around the local metropolitan area
  • Deliver SCT Trailers & Containers to metro distribution Centres on and off the loading dock
  • Maintain daily truck log and record of customer deliveries and pickups
  • Have experience in restraining loads and be competent at reversing & hooking / unhooking on finger docks
  • Complete run sheets in line with Fatigue Management laws
  • Check the accuracy of palletised and packed loads
  • Pre-check the Truck and required MHE
Requirements:
  • Experience in the same or similar type role is essential
  • You must be safety conscious and capable of completing manual tasks such as pulling curtains & strapping loads
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a physically demanding role is required
  • You must hold a current truck driver licence (HC) with a clean driving record
  • Recent experience as a HC driver delivering palletised freight to DC's in Metro area is necessary
  • You must be competent at reversing & trailer hitching/unhitching on finger docks
  • A Police Clearance is required (or you must be willing to obtain)
  • A Fatigue certificate is also required
  • You must have a Current Commercial Drivers Medical
  • While a Warehousing background is desirable, it is not essential
