Role Overview:
This position serves as a clinical support role. At HammondCare, we expect this role to be performed in a consultative and advisory manner rather than through an authoritarian lens. You will carry a level of professional accountability and responsibility in accordance with the registration requirements as a Registered Nurse, holding current registration with AHPRA.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of the residential team, collaborating with both management and care staff to provide personalized and responsive care for residents.
- Guide and support care delivery by the care staff
- Provide education and mentorship in clinical practices
- Engage in consultative case management and clinical decision-making
- Maintain clinical oversight and professional competence as a Registered Nurse
- Implement and uphold a resident comfort focus
To excel in this position, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to commit to various night shifts across a 7-day schedule
- Knowledge and experience in caring for individuals living with Dementia and understanding their needs
- A genuine passion for serving the elderly and a desire to positively impact their lives
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Experience in a residential setting is highly desirable
