Zurich Insurance Group is embarking on a journey to create a brighter future, and we're looking for a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our team in Australia.

This exciting opportunity involves providing in-house legal advice to enable our businesses to achieve their strategic and commercial goals. As a key member of our team, you will draft, advise on, and negotiate commercial contracts across various areas, including general corporate and commercial law, technology, branding and intellectual property, data protection and privacy law, financial services law, regulatory inquiries and investigations, competition and consumer protection law, and commercial disputes and litigation.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A recognised Australian legal qualification and eligibility to practice law in New South Wales.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in general corporate and commercial law disciplines, either in a law firm or in-house position.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts.
  • A strong understanding of the insurance and broader financial services industry would be advantageous.
  • The ability to receive instructions, analytically assess issues, and communicate advice clearly and non-legally.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain trustful working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
