Job Summary

Lycopodium Limited is seeking an experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team in Africa. As a Field Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice to ensure the successful delivery of our mineral processing projects in Africa on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.

About the Role

The Field Operations Specialist will report to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all site operations are up to a high standard in line with Company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Managing work procedures, practices, and plans to ensure deliverables are met to a high level of accuracy.
  • Providing specialist advice and acting as the primary contact for all project technical support, liaising with the engineering team to resolve issues and ensure deliverables are met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience in mineral processing projects on remote sites or in a similar industry.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise a diverse team.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment.
  • Ability to provide mentoring and identify avenues of professional development.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to site.
