As a Firefighter Emergency Response Specialist with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.

The functions of this position are unique, as you will be part of an agency that delivers high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single entity.

This collaborative approach across the service and with key stakeholders enables improved safety outcomes for the community.

You will respond to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.

To excel in this role, you will need to develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES.

Maintaining the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training is also essential.

This role requires operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner, contributing to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, and ensuring maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.

You will also contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.

To determine your suitability for this role, you will be assessed on leadership and management behavioural competencies, including performance through vision, results, and accountability.

You must exemplify the QFES shared values: Respect, Integrity, Trust, Courage, and Loyalty.

A competitive estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 per annum, considering the location and industry standards.
