About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Excellence Expert to join our team. As an Operations Excellence Expert, you will be responsible for analyzing operational defects and identifying root causes for financial deductions, defining joint action plans with vendors, and enabling implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supply chain optimization and process improvement, good project management skills, experience interfacing with external stakeholders (e.g., Vendors, Sellers, B2B customers), relationship building skills, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze operational defects and identify root causes for financial deductions, define joint action plan with the vendor, and enable implementation.
  • Facilitate regular progress reviews with vendors to create sustainable long-term results.
  • Collaborate and build trusting relationships across job functions and levels within the vendor's organization (e.g., Key Account Mgr, Supply Chain Mgr, Finance Mgr, CEO, Customer Service Mgr).
  • Organize and run two-day Kaizen workshops with internal and external attendees, including visits to the vendor's warehouse(s) and Amazon FCs. Lead group discussions, process mapping, value stream mapping, and brainstorming sessions.
  • Work on cross-functional projects with internal stakeholders related to the improvement and growth of the service (e.g., expanding the value proposition, facilitating pitching and vendor outreach, increasing team productivity).
About the Team

Our team operates out of our CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options) and from home, leveraging technology. A day in the life of an Operations Excellence Expert PM involves managing a small portfolio of Retail Vendors (e.g., Bosch, Philips), which rotate frequently (avg. 3-6 months engagement). You will evaluate the efficiency of the vendor's supply chain processes via data analysis and in-person audits of the vendor's warehouses, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, guide the improvement effort, and measure outcomes.

Requirements
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements
  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery, communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
