About the Role
We are seeking a skilled MMU Operator (SSO) to join our Cairns Quarry Service Team in Queensland. As an MMU Operator, you will be responsible for operating our MMU Vehicles, which are highly advanced heavy rigid vehicles fitted with the latest technologies to deliver bulk explosives at our customers' mine sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MMU trucks and other associated blasting plant machinery;
- Provide operational blasting knowledge and advice to client blast crews and stakeholders;
- Assist with preventative maintenance on associated plant and machinery;
- Deliver explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on bench;
- Work collaboratively with teammates to provide excellent service to customers;
- Act with integrity and respect at all times.
Requirements
- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence is essential;
- Demonstrated work experience in physically demanding environments;
- The ability to work outside in all weather conditions;
- The ability to pass all required security checks to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence;
- An excellent, positive, and team-based attitude;
- A basic mechanical comprehension would be highly regarded;
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen.
