Knauf, a leading manufacturer of insulation materials and building products, is seeking an experienced Factory / Plant Manager to join its Senior Management team in Port Melbourne, VIC.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Plasterboard and Compounds Manufacturing facilities, leading and developing the Manufacturing teams to achieve world-class performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) within the manufacturing site, including developing and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Develop and implement annual budgets, driving continuous improvement principles and programs to achieve operational excellence.
- Implement Knauf's environmental management policy, focusing on waste reduction and energy management, while achieving budgeted performance efficiencies.
- Optimize process and equipment, ensuring quality targets and vision are met, and improving relations with internal and external customers.
- Degree in Engineering Science or a related discipline is highly beneficial.
- At least 10 years of management experience in a similar role, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work with a unionized workforce and foster collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and root cause analysis.
- Strong Project Management skills and good knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to mentor, develop, and coach team members, and maintain performance and personal growth.
- Executive remuneration package.
