The Department of Industry, Science and Resources is seeking a highly skilled Project Scientist IRMS, APS Level 5, National Measurement Institute to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying reference methods for certification of carbon isotope ratio of pure organic compounds and in complex organic matrices.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply reference methods for certification of carbon isotope ratio of pure organic compounds and in complex organic matrices.
- Produce and characterise certified reference materials.
- Operate, maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot EA and GC-C-IRMS instrumentation.
- Prepare complex written reports and present scientific results to stakeholders.
- Promote NMI by engaging with stakeholders, contributing to publications, and conference attendance.
Eligibility
A Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) qualification ideally in chemistry and at least 12 months experience in analytical organic chemistry. To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
