Job Overview

This role requires a skilled Field Service Engineer to oversee balance of plant mechanical work scope and provide technical support to site teams. Key responsibilities include planning, preparing documentation, creating site reports, supporting HSE & Quality plans, and participating in design reviews.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent technical knowledge of hydro power BoPm equipment, and experience in supervision of BoPm installation in hydro power projects or similar industries.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who can drive project success with focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget. As a collaborative team player, you will be accountable, solution-driven, and proactive in anticipating challenges and providing problem-solving solutions.

The typical roster for this role involves 14 days in, 7 days out, with a work schedule of 10 hours per day, 7 days a week. Camp accommodation is provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate balance of plant mechanical work scope.
  • Prepare technical documentation for RFQ process and evaluate bids/offers.
  • Create and update site documentation such as lifting plans and installation instructions.
  • Support development of HSE & Quality plans with responsible personnel.
  • Provide technical support to site teams and facilitate clarification with engineering teams.
  • Participate in design review meetings and ensure field-related design considerations.
Requirements:
  • University diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to drive project success with focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Previous experience in supervision of BoPm installation in hydro power projects or similar industries.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of hydro power BoPm equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of construction project management best practices.
  • Collaborative team player with customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate challenges and provide problem-solving solutions.
Working Conditions:
