Chief Design Officer

Key Role:

This role entails leading and mentoring a large team of designers in the detailed design and engineering phase of a major project.

Working closely with the design office and engineering manager, you will ensure all relevant procedures are followed, monitor and allocate hours to schedule, advise on resource requirements, and attend project and client meetings.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Mentoring designers
  • Overseeing project procedures
  • Monitoring time allocation

Essential Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of mechanical or structural design gained on mineral process plant or mining projects.

Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation 2D and 3D is required.

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.

A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities are necessary.

Experience leading a team of at least 15 people is essential.

A current right to work in Australia is also required.

Familiarity with OpenPlant is not essential but would be an advantage.
