About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking an experienced Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise to our nursing team
  • Support the Nurse Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the department and assist with the progression of service improvement
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, focusing on leadership, risk management, audits, infection control, and exceptional service provision
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • ALS Certification
  • More than 3 years' experience in PACU
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring high levels of service are delivered to patients at all times
  • Extensive knowledge of current National ANZCA standards and ACORN Standards
