About the Role
Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking an experienced Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise to our nursing team
- Support the Nurse Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the department and assist with the progression of service improvement
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, focusing on leadership, risk management, audits, infection control, and exceptional service provision
- Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintain current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- ALS Certification
- More than 3 years' experience in PACU
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to ensuring high levels of service are delivered to patients at all times
- Extensive knowledge of current National ANZCA standards and ACORN Standards
