About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Team, working alongside the broader IT department within the reporting structure of the Chief Operating Officer.

This role will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of LGT Crestone's core banking platform, Avaloq.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and building best practice solutions and processes based on complex business requirements
  2. Customising Avaloq Core Platform functionalities
  3. Shared responsibility for the Avaloq code base (including refining and enforcing concepts)
  4. Solution design and review of new features
  5. Definition of integration patterns / interfaces to other systems as required
  6. Unit testing and building test automation capabilities in everything you develop
  7. Support for incident management triage, release/change management and implementation processes
  8. Escalation point for system monitoring alerts
  9. Identifying risks associated with changes being made to the system, able to articulate to non-technical stakeholders the implications of any requirements
  10. Participate in agile ceremonies (daily scrum, retrospectives, prioritisation, demos)
  11. Play back technical concepts to business stakeholders in a relatable manner
  12. Build a deep technical knowledge across multiple functional business areas
  13. Support team and lead in strictly enforcing solution design, development, change management, and agile principles for the betterment of the platform
  14. Build relationships with stakeholders across business units and external partners
  15. Support and enforce technical audits wherever required
  16. Definition, implementation and maintenance of automated testing suite

About You:

You will have an Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) accreditation and have proven experience in Avaloq development across multiple domains.

A tertiary degree and financial services industry experience is highly desirable, as well as knowledge of wealth management products and services (e.g. portfolio management, trading, settlement, payments, reconciliations, corporate actions).

As well as your work experience, you are a self-motivated individual who is highly committed, independent, focused and has strong attention to detail.

You have strong time management skills and are able to effectively manage regular changing priorities.
