The University of Queensland is seeking a Casual Research Phlebotomist to support our ongoing concussion research project, the TACKLE Concussion Trial. This role will provide vital assistance in collecting bio-samples, conducting phlebotomy, and facilitating data collection processes at schools across South-East Queensland.
About the Role- Primary Purpose: The successful candidate will provide support to staff at participating schools, including bio-sample collection, record keeping, and assisting with study procedures.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collection of bio-samples (blood, saliva, finger-prick)
- Preparation of correct bio-sampling kits for all study procedures
- Assisting school staff with preparation of facilities
- Certificate III in pathology collection essential or equivalent Australian recognised qualification
- Previous training and experience in phlebotomy essential, conducting venepuncture on adolescents would be highly regarded
- Must hold Queensland Blue Card for working with children
- Must have own reliable transport to travel to study sites
