Job Description
The successful candidate for the Electrical Supervisor position will be responsible for leading the electrical maintenance team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors, and contributing to the development of initiatives to enhance performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management Systems' standards, participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training, and audits within the mine.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the electrical team, inclusive of contractors, in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring awareness of performance targets and access to necessary tools to achieve these targets.
  • Project Management: Assist the company to achieve mining and production targets through the completion of electrical projects, demonstrating knowledge in interpreting and understanding plans, drawings, and schedules, and systematically directing resources to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Resource Allocation: Contribute to the daily planning, scheduling, and allocation of electrical and instrument-related tasks, effective communication with the Senior Electrical Coordinator.
  • Financial Acumen: Ensure cost performance is aligned with maintenance budgets and forecast expectations.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team, using the Performance Management System to provide regular, constructive feedback on performance, improve individual development and capability, and enhance employee engagement, productivity, and job satisfaction.
  • Technical Knowledge: Develop individual and organisational capacity to consistently achieve deliverables by building and maintaining technical knowledge, including keeping up to date with legislative changes.
  • Zero Incident Process: Consistently reinforce the Zero Incident Process through involvement and implementation of initiatives to achieve best practice in terms of occupational health risks, lifestyle initiatives, and hygiene management.

About You
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of mineral processing plants, preferably Gold. Camp and infrastructure services. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated leadership and performance development experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, knowledge of the WHS Act and Regulations, and the ability to be appointed as Nominee for In-house Electrical Installing Work Licence. Recognised trade qualification and a valid 'C' Class drivers' licence are also essential.
