Aboriginal children and families require dedicated support to preserve their cultural heritage and community ties. A Mental Health Clinician will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to improve the wellbeing of Aboriginal kids, young people, and families.

This senior clinician role demands passion for enhancing mental health and social wellbeing of Aboriginal children, adolescents, and families. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative effort making a positive impact on local communities by providing high-quality culturally appropriate mental health services using best practice principles.

The successful applicant will have strong collaboration skills to work closely with consumers, families, multidisciplinary teams, and other key stakeholders. They will also be supported by a large Aboriginal mental health workforce who connect daily through clinical huddles, cultural activities, and networking meetings.

The role offers access to routine clinical multidisciplinary team reviews, child and adolescent training development, and cultural clinical supervision under the Gayaa Dhuwi framework. This provides an opportunity for growth and continuous improvement in mental health services.
