Job Description:

We are seeking a professional to coordinate the use of school facilities by council and community users, manage bookings for shared spaces, and develop programs and services that allow optimum community use within set parameters.

  • The role has two primary functions:
  • Collaborate with Asset Director and Facilities Coordinator to identify and manage potential council and community users of school facilities outside of education hours.
  • Coordinate the use of school facilities by council and community users, and manage bookings for shared spaces.
  • Develop knowledge to implement programs and services that allow optimum community use within set parameters.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships with community, education, business, and government for community use;
  • Experience in coordinating access for community groups and managing various uses at the school;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe work practices, incident reporting, and hazard management.
  • Experience in liaising with operator representatives and services contractors as required to ensure smooth operation of schools;
  • Ensure highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained at all times.
  • Experience in guiding community users through inquiry, booking, enabling, and reporting community use processes.
Key Requirements:
  • Awareness and understanding of work health and safety legislation (essential):
  • Customer service experience (essential):
  • Certificate or diploma in hospitality or sports management/administration (desirable):
  • Previous experience in sports/facilities administration (desirable):
  • Ability to balance priorities within dynamic establishment environment:
  • National police check within 3 months, or ability to obtain, is essential:
  • SA issued DHS working with children check, or ability to obtain, is essential:
  • Current driver's license:
  • Ability to communicate with clients, team members, and managers:
  • Understand KPIs for facilities management contracts:
  • Sound computer skills and working knowledge of asset and maintenance management systems:
