Position Overview
We are in search of a skilled and committed Payroll Administration Officer to become a vital part of our People and Culture Division.
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to operational standards, and your commitment to accuracy and timeliness will be essential in this dynamic environment.
You will serve as a primary resource for payroll inquiries, offering expert guidance and proactively addressing concerns. Additionally, you will cultivate and sustain relationships with staff, supervisors, and management to improve the transparency and efficiency of our payroll operations while upholding confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist staff with general inquiries regarding their compensation and benefits.
- Ensure the precise and prompt processing of timesheet data, schedules, leave requests, remuneration adjustments, and temporary assignments.
- Prepare the weekly payroll cycle and aid in data verification and record maintenance.
- Draft forms related to payroll deductions (such as child support, taxation, and associated correspondence).
- Deliver payroll guidance and solutions-oriented support.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service to employees and management.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience with timekeeping and payroll systems, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the payroll process in a medium to large organization.
- A positive attitude and the ability to enjoy your work while meeting demanding deadlines.
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check will be required as part of the pre-employment screening process.
