Meat Processor

About This Role:

• You will be responsible for conducting all aspects of meat processing from stun to skin and evisceration, with training provided.
• Help set up and break down a mobile abattoir, including cleaning duties.
• Unload product into butchery at the Avalon depot.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in meat processing (boning, slicing, and slaughterman).
• Certification in Meat Processing (Cert III) is highly desirable but not essential.
• A strong positive attitude and good work ethics are necessary for this role.
• You must be able to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy equipment.
• You will need to pass a pre-employment medical check, which includes a drug/alcohol test.
• Q-Fever vaccination is required or you must be willing to receive the vaccination.
• A proactive team member who can work well in a small team is essential for this role.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues.
