Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disability Support Manager to lead our team in Geelong, Victoria. As the successful candidate, you will oversee a team of support workers providing services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to individuals with disabilities.

About the Role:

The Disability Support Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all clients receive high-quality care and support in their homes. This includes managing day-to-day operations, overseeing client intake process, developing care plans, goal setting, and reviewing progress.

  • Lead a team of support workers by providing guidance, supervision, and ongoing training.
  • Ensure that all staff members comply with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Oversee client intake process including assessments, developing care plans, goal setting, and reviewing progress.
  • Monitor service delivery ensuring that all clients receive appropriate support according to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with other professionals involved in client care such as therapists or healthcare providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Cert IV in mental health highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within the disability or healthcare sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines and regulations.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team, including rostering, performance evaluations, and staff development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, their families, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards relating to disability support services in Australia.
