As a Family Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing tailored care plans, and providing timely support during crises. You will also advocate for clients to access necessary resources and services, facilitate evidence-based parenting programs and workshops, and cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies.
Requirements- Degree in social work, psychology, social sciences or a related field (or equivalent with more than 4yrs experience).
- Demonstrated one year's experience working with children, young people and families in child protection, family support, or community services context.
- Understanding of child protection legislation and out-of-home care frameworks.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Cultural competence to work effectively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
