We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Sydney, Australia. This role is pivotal in advancing cutting-edge technology in the field of fiber optics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance fiber optic systems for outstanding reliability and manufacturability.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes for large production volumes while maintaining quality and precision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and integration.
  • Analyse test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in photonics and relevant manufacturing techniques.
  • Contribute to a customer-centric approach by ensuring our technology meets and exceeds customer expectations in demanding applications.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the field of Fiber Optic Gyroscopes and strong theoretical and practical understanding of FOG physics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to taking ownership and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of photonics, including light sources, optical fibers, couplers, modulators, and detectors.
  • Solid background in electro-optical systems design and integration.
  • Demonstrable experience with manufacturing processes for optical or precision electro-mechanical systems.
